What you'll be doing:

The Compensation & People Data Analyst provides both compensation support and HR data analysis, helping to ensure fair and competitive pay practices while delivering insights that drive data-informed decision-making for the HR team. This role is responsible for evaluating job positions, conducting market pricing, maintaining salary structures, and assisting with pay equity reviews. Additionally, the Analyst will compile and analyze HR data related to workforce trends, hiring and turnover, employee demographics, and total rewards utilization.

Compensation Analysis & Administration:

  • Maintain and update salary structures and market pricing to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Manage compensation survey software, ensuring data accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and making updates as needed.
  • Participate in salary surveys, collect and analyze data, and provide insights on market trends to support compensation decisions.
  • Evaluate job positions to determine FLSA classification (exempt vs. nonexempt) and appropriate salary levels to support fair and competitive pay.
  • Support the communication of compensation policies to HR partners, managers, and teammates.
  • Support bonus programs and annual merit process.
  • Assist with pay equity reviews and FLSA audits to ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to provide compensation-related data and reports to support budgeting and decision-making.

HR Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze and report on a wide range of HR metrics, including compensation trends, workforce demographics, employment trends, hiring and turnover rates, internal mobility, and total rewards utilization.
  • Assist in analyzing hiring patterns, retention rates, promotion rates, and exit data to support workforce planning efforts.
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of HR dashboards and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Extract, organize, and analyze HR data from HRIS and payroll systems (UKG) to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare compliance-related reports for regulatory agencies, including EEO, OFCCP, pay equity, and other workforce-related audits.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to share data insights, answer reporting-related questions, and provide supporting documentation

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Document procedures and education material to streamline compensation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed of compensation laws, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting pay structures and policies.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelors degree in HR, business or related field- Required
  • 4+ years of compensation and data analysis experience- Required
  • Experience in compensation benchmarking tools (e.g. PayScale, ERI, Mercer) - Required
  • Experience in evaluating job classifications, FLSA determinations and salary benchmarking- Required
  • Experience in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and data visualization tools (excel, power BI)- Required
