Part-Time Child and Adolescent Family Practice Physician

Department: Primary Care Physician
Location: Cincinnati, OH

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Family Practice Physician to join our team at ERC Pathlight in Cincinatti, Ohio working 0.6 FTE. As a part of our leading mental health care system, you will play a vital role in providing medical care for patients admitted to our behavioral health programs. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing illnesses, prescribing and administering treatment, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of a family medicine or pediatric or med/peds residency program from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in the appropriate specialty.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment or state of assignment.
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn various software platforms, including Electronic Medical Record Systems.

Responsibilities:
- This is a part-time role requiring 24 hours of work per week, offering a flexible schedule.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, registered dietitians, psychiatrist, registered nurses, and administrative support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Offer direct patient care, encompassing daily interactions and meticulous documentation for those in the partial hospitalization program (PHP).
- Manage the medical aspects of a patient's care needs.
- Offer cross-coverage support for the primary care group as necessary
- Serve as a teacher for trainees seeking clinical experience.
- Focus on superior patient care by practicing evidence-based, high-quality medicine.
- Communicate clinical information clearly and in a timely manner.
- Take ownership and provide leadership to improve outcomes, quality, and program efficiency.
- Promote positive customer relationships with employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and cultural sensitivity.


Education and Experience Desired:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of a family medicine or pediatric or med/peds residency program from an accredited medical school.
- Board eligibility in the appropriate specialty (board certification preferred).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment or state of assignment.
- Has met clinical competency standards.
